CLIPPING MASKS

  1. Add a layer above your object.
  2. Right click the layer and choose Create Clipping Mask.
  3. Choose your blending mode.
  4. Apply your brush.
  5. You can move and scale this layer as needed.

LAYER MASK

  1. Choose your object's layer.
  2. Click the Add Layer Mask icon at the bottom of the Layers Panel.
  3. Set your foreground color to black or white.
  4. Apply your brush.

TRANSPARENCY LOCK

  1. Choose your object's layer.
  2. Choose the Lock Transparency Pixels icon at the top of the Layers Panel.
  3. Apply your brush.
