Create a Mid-Century Space Pistol Image in Photoshop

In this tutorial, learn how to make a retro space pistol illustration in Photoshop. This tutorial takes an illustrative approach to making the pistol. We start with simple shapes in three colors. Then using the Brush Tool, Layer Masks, and some brushes from the SpaceRanger brush pack we add in the details.

I had a quick question about the Form Builder brush mentioned in the above video. Is it easy to explain how the form building brushes differ from other brushes or what makes them particularly good at form building?
