How do you create the absolute best collection of horror fonts anywhere?

Create tons of them, and then have a community of horror fanatics vote on them. That's exactly what our friends at Remedy667 did!

In October of 2024, Nick Polifroni designed a new font each day and posted it to Instagram. Then, followers were asked to vote by liking only their favorite fonts. The result is The Typefaces of Terror Collection—a batch of five retro-inspired horror fonts that are proven winners.

Here's a little about each font...

Castle of the Dead

A campy, medieval-inspired horror font that captures the spirit of spooky castles, cursed knights, and cobweb-filled dungeons. Perfect for projects that need a gothic touch with a playful, lighthearted edge.

Demonika

Remedy667 is based out of Maine, making this striking tribute to late 20th century horror novels like Carrie all the more authentic. With its oozing, ominous design, it's ideal for channeling the eerie nostalgia of classic paperback covers.

Haunted Vision

Looking for something with more of a mid-century flair? Haunted Vision is a geometric horror font inspired by manual lettering work done with an X-acto knife and a love of mid-century style.

Haunted Screams

Looking to emulate the iconic slasher films of the 80s and 90s? Haunted Screams is inspired by the low-budget season horror films of the era that inspired predecessors like Scream.

Spider Queen

Inspired by the creepy-crawly creature features of the 1950s and the garish horror comics of the mid-century, Spider Queen oozed with retro spookiness. Perfect for projects that call for a sticky, spine-chilling vibe with a dash of campy fun.

[BONUS] Infrequencies Demo

A classic spooky font perfect for crafting eerie paragraphs of text with a subtle, haunting vibe. Pairs beautifully with the other fonts as body text. This demo version is available exclusively through RetroSupply as a special bonus for our customers!

All fonts include the following:

  • Desktop Fonts. OpenType and TrueType formats.
  • Web Fonts. .eot, .woff, and .woff2
  • Usage Guide. Detailed instructions for using the fonts in various contexts.

    Fun Spooky Colllection

A great selection of fonts just in time for Halloween season at a great price. Already put some to work on a promo for a Halloween event. Perfect vibe for my retro style dance class.

    It's a jolt of B-Movie Magic

The Creature Feature Font Bundle is pure graphic design joy. I grabbed it thinking it’d be a fun one-off for a horror-themed project, but it’s turned into one of those fonts I reach for way more often than I expected.

    Creepy and Cool

It’s got that perfect retro-horror vibe, but it’s not gimmicky; you can dial it up for campy monster-movie posters or keep it subtle for something more vintage-cool.

Timely/Timeless Horror From The Video Void

I have been working for over a year now on Ronnie’s Video, a mixed-media narrative animation inspired by the heady days of video rental libraries in provincial Northern Ireland in the 1980s and the parallel dimensions of dreams.

Needing a sympathetic font for the titles I was delighted to discover this highly relevant collection at Retro Supply Co. through the special 2025 summer promotion event.

All the fonts downloaded securely and swiftly and installed smoothly on an iMac.

Death Runner immediately grabbed my attention as highly redolent of the look I associate with the straight to video sci-fi titles that are essential to my project.

Flying Sausage would beautifully complement the main title to announce the name of our production company, TheeHyperstation, overhead.

Basic layout took place in Pixelmator Pro with the inter-grated fonts crisp, robust and responsive to editing.

The template was exported successfully from Pixelmator as an Apple Motion file where final editing and basic animation took place with the Fonts completely responsive to glints and analog video texturing.

The fonts have proved a boon and a blessing to our production lending a retro authenticity & charm at a great price with zero fuss.
