CLIPPING MASKS

1. Add a layer above your object.
2. Click the Clip to Layer Below icon.
3. Choose your blending mode.
4. Apply your brush.
5. You can move and scale this layer as needed.

LAYER MASK

1. Choose your object's layer.
2. Click the Create Layer Mask icon.
3. Choose an eraser to hide that part of your object.
4. To reveal that part of your object, paint it back on with a brush.

TRANSPARENCY LOCK

1. Choose your object's layer.
2. Choose the Lock Transparent Pixels icon at the top of the Layers Panel.
3. Apply your brush.
