CLIPPING LAYER

  1. Add a new layer .
  2. Click, hold, and drag the new layer to be a child layer below your object.
  3. Choose your color and apply your brush.
  4. Set the blending mode for the child layer.
  5. You can move and sclae this layer as needed.

MASK LAYER

  1. Chooe your object's layer.
  2. Click the Mask Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers Panel.
  3. Set your foreground layer to black or white.
  4. Select the child mask layer and apply the brush.

💡Top Tip: When working with layer masks, remember white reveals and black conceals. You can read our tutorial on clipping masks, alpha lock, and layer masks for more information.
